Fomentar la lectura a través de la distribuición gratuita y controlada de libros.

Nos enteramos de la existencia de Libros Libres (Bookcrossing en inglés) y nos pareció una idea muy buena para San Luis. Pedimos libros por todas partes y pusimos un stand en un festival local (Tuna Fest '07) donde liberamos 150 libros con mucho éxito. La mayoría de las personas que se llevaron los libros los dieron de alta en la página y hemos podido seguir su trayecto exitoso. Al saber de Avancemos, decidimos crear formalmente nuestro proyecto, nos presentamos ante los panelistas y fuimos aprobados. Seguimos en una fase de documentación para recibir el capital semilla pero estamos ya listos para comenzar. De nuevo vamos a conseguir libros por doquier ya que nuestra meta es de poder liberar 1,000 libros este año situándolos en lugares fijos como cafés y haciendo liberaciones a manera de eventos. We found out about Bookcrossing (Libros Libres in Spanish) and thought it was a great idea for our city (San Luis Potosi). We got people from all over to donate 150 books and we "freed" them at a local festival (Tuna Fest '07) where we put a book stand. It was a huge success because most of the books where registered online and we can still follow where they are. When we heard of Youth Venture we decided to formally create our proyect, we presented it before the judges and got selected. We´re still filling in papers in order to get our seed money but we´re more than ready to begin. Our objective this year is to free 1,000 books, some in premanent spaces (like cafés) and most of them at special events.
